An online UPS has a power supply that is continuously processed; in the event of an unexpected drop in mains voltage, the UPS maintains the operation of the connected device thanks to its built-in batteries, which are continuously charged. Therefore, mains power is required solely for charging the batteries. Devices permanently connected to the UPS always receive clean, interference-free power drawn from the battery; consequently, the output voltage of the online UPS will always remain constant, regardless of the input voltage.
