Navigation devices, like other devices requiring constant access to GPS signals, can lose accuracy in difficult conditions – in dense urban areas, between tall buildings, in forests or in places with limited visibility. The Qoltec GPS antenna was designed to eliminate these problems. With a narrow bandwidth of 4 MHz, the antenna precisely filters the signal in the GPS L1 band (1575.42 MHz), which effectively reduces interference from adjacent frequencies and improves positioning stability. The low VSWR ≤ 1.5 ensures a perfect match between the antenna and the receiver, minimising reflected signal loss and guaranteeing maximum RF path efficiency.

Omnidirectional design – reception from multiple directions, full compatibility with GPS thanks to RHCP polarisation

The omnidirectional design ensures uniform signal reception from multiple directions, which is particularly important in mobile applications and in places where the position of the device may change. This allows the antenna to maintain stable contact with more satellites simultaneously, regardless of the orientation of the device. RHCP (Right-Hand Circular Polarisation) ensures proper cooperation with GPS satellites that transmit signals in the same polarisation.

Combination of high LNA gain, omnidirectional design and SMA RA connector

The presented model is manufactured with attention to the smallest details. The high ingress protection rating is characterised by weather resistance, and the copper material conducts electricity perfectly and is corrosion resistant.

High gain of 28 ±3 dB, achieved thanks to the integrated LNA amplifier, significantly increases the sensitivity of the receiver, enabling operation even with a weak or partially obstructed signal. The antenna is equipped with a right-angle SMA connector, which facilitates installation in confined spaces – an ideal solution for GPS trackers, IoT modules, telemetry systems and compact electronic devices.

Strong magnetic base ensuring antenna stability

The antenna is equipped with a magnetic base that allows for quick and stable mounting on metal surfaces, such as the roof of a vehicle or bodywork components. A strong magnet ensures a secure hold even while driving, minimising the risk of the antenna shifting or falling off. Thanks to this solution, installation does not require drilling or the use of additional tools, and the antenna can be easily removed and moved to another location at any time.
