Automatic start and stop charging

The device eliminates the need for manual control of the charging process, it recognizes by itself when to start and stop charging, providing full comfort and safety of use :
• starts charging as soon as it detects a properly connected battery and the availability of a power source (alternator, photovoltaic panel, etc.).,
• stops the charging process automatically when the battery is fully charged, switching to the holding mode (FLOAT) or completely disconnecting the charging current. This way you don't have to manually control the charging cycle - the Multicharger independently takes care of:
• avoiding overcharging,
• protecting the battery from damage,
• maximum energy efficiency and operational safety.

Anderson connectors - secure and fast connection

Connecting the battery to the Qoltec DC-DC 12V charger using an Anderson Connector be made in accordance with the wire colors and markings on the device housing. Here are the ground rules:
Battery (red wire - "BAT+" and black wire - "BAT-"),
Photovoltaic panel (PV) – connect to the solar connector (grey connector). Installed on the roof of the vehicle, it powers the charger with solar energy, which the device converts using MPPT technology,
Starter battery – While driving, the engine generates energy, which goes through the charger to the on-board battery,
ACC wire (blue) – Connects to the ignition switch or ignition source. When the ignition is turned on, it activates the charger and starts the charging process.
Fuse - to protect the installation from overload and short circuit.

The DC-DC charger will charge your starter battery using intelligent 3-stage charging consisting of :
The BULK stage is the identification of the battery and its needs, charging up to 80% with a constant current, high voltage,
The BOOST stage is the so-called absorption charging, it maintains the charging voltage between 14.1VDC and 14.8VDC, reducing the input current,
The FLOAT stage is the last charging cycle in which the battery has already reached 95% of its capacity and gradually reaches 100%, there is a reduction in the charging voltage to a constant value between 13.0VDC and 13.8 VDC, the charging current automatically drops to 0A when the battery is charged.
