CEE 16A to 230V adapter – a robust and safe solution

A professional power adapter enabling the power supply of single-phase 230V devices from an industrial 16A three-phase socket. The adapter utilises one phase from a 3-phase installation and provides 230V at the output. This is a practical 400V to 230V adapter designed for technical and workshop applications, as well as for 230V mobile EV chargers. Robust CEE connectors and a 3x2.5 mm² cable guarantee stable performance at a maximum load of 16A (3.5 kW).

230V EV charger adapter – correct connection and safe use

The adapter must be connected to a serviceable CEE 16A 3P+N+E (400V) socket protected by a suitable overcurrent and residual current circuit breaker. After inserting the CEE plug, ensure that the connection is secure and properly seated. A 230V device can be connected to a SCHUKO socket, bearing in mind that the maximum load must not exceed 16A (3.5 kW) . In the case of a mobile EV charger , set the charging current to no higher than 16A. Do not exceed the permissible load or use an adapter with a damaged cable. The adapter does not increase the power of the installation – it merely converts the connector type from CEE 16A 400V to 230V SCHUKO.

Clear terminal markings – quick and safe cable installation

The adapter is equipped with clearly marked connection terminals, which significantly facilitates cable installation. To connect the cable correctly, strip the ends of the wires, insert them into the appropriate marked terminals and tighten the fixing screws securely. The PE protective cable should be connected first. The visible housing with a protective flap additionally protects the contacts from dust and moisture, ensuring durability and safe use of the installation.

When connecting, you should:
1. Strip the ends of the wires.
2. Insert the wires into the appropriate, labelled terminals.
3. Tighten the fixing screws securely.
4. Connect the PE protective conductor first.
