You can read the basic parameters from the label on the bottom of the laptop marked as INPUT or from the nameplate of the original power supply described as OUTPUT. These will be: POWER (W), VOLTAGE (V), CURRENT (A). The following points will clear up any doubts that may arise when choosing equipment:
1. POWER (W) – this number indicates the minimum value that the new power supply should have. There is nothing wrong with using a product with higher power. This will make it less stressed and therefore less hot.
2. CURRENT (A) – as with POWER, the value on the new power supply can be equal to or higher than that given on the laptop's nameplate.
3. VOLTAGE (V) – the number for this parameter is more strictly required. Only a fluctuation of +/- 0.5V is allowed.
The last and equally important issue is the PLUG. Without it, you're going nowhere! There are no deviations here, it is necessary that it is identical to the original. The given size indicates the outer diameter and the inner diameter of the pin. If comparing based on the provided photo is not enough, an accurate measurement will be necessary to finally confirm your choice.
