    DisplayPort 1.4 is the next step in the evolution of this technology, offering a bandwidth of 32.4 Gb/s, which allows for support of 8K at 60 Hz – but only for displays that support Display Stream Compression (DSC). For displays without this technology, DisplayPort 1.4 offers the same limits as DisplayPort 1.3, namely resolutions up to 4K at 120 Hz. Despite this, version 1.4 still provides better image quality thanks to support for HDR, enabling more accurate color reproduction and higher contrast.
