Coating thickness meter used for steel as well as aluminum coatings. Designed to measure the thickness of non-conductive coating on metal surface and non-ferromagnetic coating on ferromagnetic metal, such as the thickness of paint on car surface. The device has built-in magnetic induction and a dual probe with a high degree of sensitivity. It automatically detects the substrate property and calculates the coating thickness.

It is best to measure the thickness of the coating on a clean surface, so it is best to clean the area to be measured before starting the measurement and only then to apply or approach the probe tip to the paint. In addition to a dirty surface, a weak battery can also interfere with a reliable measurement result, so we recommend checking that the battery is in working order. A properly calibrated device is ready for measurement as soon as it is switched on.
